Metrolink
From the city centre take the Altrincham tram and get off at the Old Trafford stop, from there it is a straight walk down the Warwick Road and then Sir Matt Busby Way to Old Trafford Itself. Or Alternatively take the Eccles tram and get off at the Exchange Quay stop, from there walk down Trafford Road, take a right onto Wharfside way and then turn left onto Sir Matt Busby Way which will lead you to Old Trafford.
Train
Manchester United have their own train station located right next to the stadium. This service only runs on match days. You can catch the match day special from Stockport, Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Oxford Road train stations. After the game there is often a long queue to get the return train.
Car
The roads around Old Trafford gets highly congested both before and after the game, so you will need to set off in plenty of time. If you’re coming from the South an alternative option would be to park in Altrincham and get the Metrolink tram to Old Trafford. This will ensure you beat the traffic both ways.
If you want to get closer to Old Trafford there are several car parks located around the ground, which you will see as you get closer. Old Trafford Cricket ground is located close by on Talbot Road and has a large car park, alternatively just down the road on Talbot Road is The Trafford Hall Hotel which also has a paying car park.

Plane
The nearest airport to Old Trafford is Manchester airport which is approximately 8 miles away from the ground. You can either get a taxi from the airport directly to Old Trafford or alternatively take the bus or train to the city centre and then either get the Metrolink or Train to the ground.

Inside the ground
Underneath each stand are several refreshment bars where you can buy soft drinks, beer, pies, hot dogs and chocolate, these open before the game and at half time. Alcoholic drinks are not served on Champions League game nights.
Outside the ground
In the near vicinity of Old Trafford there are several burger/hot dog refreshment stands where you can grab a quick bite to eat. Alternatively at the top of Sir Matt Busby way where it meets Chester Road are two fish and chip shops, further down Chester Road is a KFC on the left and on the opposite side of the road is a Pizza Hut.

West Stand/Stretford End
The West stand has two tiers. The upper tier’s official name is WT2 and is where most of the atmosphere is generated by the home supporters. The majority of those in WT2 opt to stand for the whole game. The lower tiers official name is WT1 and is split in to two sections Upper and Lower. The right hand side of the upper section contains the family stand, and next to that is a block of executive seating known as the International Suite. For the more important games many people will stand in both the upper and lower sections of WT1.
North Stand
The North stand has 3 tiers and is the largest stand within Old Trafford housing approximately 26,000 spectators. The lower tier officially known as NT1 is split into Upper and Lower sections, the upper section contains the Manchester Suite for executive seating. The second tier is officially known as NT2 and contains the Salford Suite executive section. The third tier is officially known as NT3.
The North Stand houses the clubs Trophy Room and Museum, which are open on non match days to the public, along with the Red Café refreshment facility.
East Stand/Scoreboard End
The East Stand like the West Stand is split over two tiers, with the lower tier split into two sections Upper and Lower. The upper Tier is officially known as ET2 and the lower tier ET1. The disabled section of Old Trafford is located to the left of the lower section of ET1, and for normal games the away support is located to the far left of ET1 upper. For cup games and some Champions League games, the away support are given half or the full second tier.
The rear of the East Stand contains the Manchester United Megastore.
South Stand
The South Stand has only 1 tier due to the railway line behind the stand limiting construction options. The South Stand is home to the most executive suites including the Europa Suite, Stretford Suite, and Warwick Suite. The Dugouts, TV Studios, Press Area and Directors section are all located within the South Stand.
Quadrants
Finished in 2006 there are two Quadrant seating areas within Old Trafford. The North West Quadrant links WT2 to NT2 , and along with standard seating also houses the Captains Lounge, 1968 Suite and the 100 Club executive seating.
The North East Quadrant links ET2 to NT2 and along with standard seasting also houses the 500 Club, Knights Lounge, Evolution Suite, and 1999 Suite.

Manchester United Museum
On non match days visitors to Old Trafford can visit the club museum, where they can view a vast array of exhibits, including a tribute to the Munich air tragedy victims, shirts worn by players throughout the years and the world famous trophy cabinet.
Old Trafford Stadium Tour
On non match days visitors to Old Trafford can take a stadium tour and see behind the scenes of the ground. A knowledgeable tour guide will take you round and amongst other things you will be taken into the home dressing room and dugout. The tour takes around an hour and afterwards you have full access to the club museum.
Manchester United Megastore
Located within the East Stand the Manchester United Megastore sells a huge range of United merchandise, including posters, scarves, footballs and replica shirts.
