Restaurant Guide
San Carlo
An Italian restaurant located on Kings Street West in the City Centre just off Deansgate. It is widely regarded as Manchester’s finest Italian, and was voted as “the best Italian restaurant outside of London” by the Sunday Times.
Gaucho Grill
An Argentinian Grill restaurant located just off Deansgate on St Marys Street. The Steak here along with the service is impeccable. They also have an excellent wine menu with many fine and rare wines available.
Tai Wu
A Cantonese restaurant located on Oxford road in Manchester. The basement houses their fixed price buffet, and on ground level you will find their fantastic restaurant. The food here is highly authentic and is for our money the best Chinese in Manchester.
Akbar’s
An Indian restaurant based on Liverpool road just off Deansgate and very close to the Hilton Hotel. The food here is excellent along with the service and is most definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the North West.
Sapporo Teppanyaki
A Japanese Sushi and Noodle bar located on Liverpool road just off Deansgate and next door to Akbar’s. The food here is exceptional and they come highly recommended by local food critics.
Dukes 92
A bar and grill located on Castle street in the Castlefield area of the city centre. Aside from their grill menu they also produce excellent Pizzas. To the rear of Dukes is a large outside patio which is excellent in the spring and summer to have an ‘al fresco’ drink.
The Living Room
Based on Deansgate in Manchester it is both a bar and a restaurant. On the food side they have an excellent menu serving a wide variety of dishes with a European influence. Well worth checking out even if only for their excellent drinks menu.
TGI Friday’s
Located just off the M60 in Sale and only 2.5 miles from Old Trafford, TGI Friday’s is a great family restaurant, serving burgers, steaks, ribs, nachos and more it’s a sure hit with kids.
Hard Rock Café
A family friendly American themed restaurant located on exchange square in the city centre in the Printworks building. Serves all the usual favourites such as steaks, ribs, chicken and burgers.
Nando’s
If you haven’t already discovered a Nando’s restaurant then make sure you do! Famous for its Peri Peri chicken, they serve excellent, well priced food and its also very family friendly. There are four Nando’s in the city centre of Manchester, one on Spinningfields just off Deansgate, one in the Arndale shopping centre, one on Oxford Road and one located in the Printworks building.
Pizza Hut
An age old classic and there are 6 locations within Manchester City Centre. The best one to go to on match day is on the White City Retail park which is less than a 400 metre walk from Old Trafford itself. It is always very busy on match days so best to get there early.
